Switching between frames while the hero remains indifferent to the dynamic change of surroundings; catering to smooth dialogue delivery packed with dry humour. Here the graphic designer became the set designer as the video was shot in a green screen studio, allowing scope for no error in executing our storyboard exactly as we envisioned.
On-set Story:
“Show, don’t tell.” That’s the golden rule in commercials and we live by it.
So when we had five different scripts to direct for Casino DK, we were all ears when the director pitched one concept with a straight face: “No cows on the ice.”
It’s a common Danish expression but turning it into a film? Cue the laughs. “Wait… are we talking about a real cow? On actual ice? In studio?!”
Well, long story short: Yes. We had a cow. Yes. We had ice. And yes, our main character rode that cow like it was meant to be.
The result? Brilliant. Show. Don’t tell.
